Pig farms are notorious for harbouring rats, the constant supply of feed hinders the poison from working.
Pig farms, especially old units are noted for harbouring large numbers of rats. They have perfect conditions for breeding with the heat and the constant supply of food.
We have provided a massive service to many pig farmers over the years. As is the case with most farms, we deal with the perimeters doing bales and sets.
Then usually every 12 weeks when the pigs go out we enter the units and do a mass clear out. A rat infestation can cause tremendous and expensive bale damage to a farm.
We know that there is usually a quick turnaround and we are fully aware that the farmer needs to clean out quickly, so we keep a record of when we will be needed and are always ready on very short notice.

Health and Safety
N.R.C. have lots of experience with regards to health and safety on chicken and pig farms. All overalls are boil washed prior to entering buildings and rubber boots are all disinfected. Gloves and masks are worn at all times, and we never wear the same clothing going from one farm to the next.
Vermin Control using Airguns
We also provide a service where we use airguns with the latest night vision equipment and the latest thermal imaging technology.
It is generally more time consuming than using terriers but very effective in certain situations where needed.
Poison
We can and do use poison if needed to comply with regulations, but it is basically kept to a minimum as we are fully confident we do not need it.
